I would like to share this picture with you which I took one morning as I had my camera next to my bed. I was charching my battery as I was hoping to start my Project Life album soon. And the first thing I saw , was this lace curtain and window in my bedroom. The day before, my husband added the black out blind as I was complaning that during summer, I tend to wake up as soon as the sun rises as my room is bright already.
I have to wake up anyway for the morning prayer but I also wanted to be able to go back to bed for a bit, mostly on days that I want to have a lie-in. Anyway I debated for a while whether to have curtains or this lace curtain with a black out blind. And you can see which one I went for.
My bedroom is small so I wanted to have a breathable atmosphere and what can give this better than a touch of delicate lace from Ikea. I am very meticulous about colour scheme and I also do not like patterned curtains to be paired up with patterned bed sheets. I find it very claustrophobic. So having a game of plain curtain versus patterned bed sheets/duvet cover work perfectly well for me.
And as my husband describes me: Vintage trapped in a modern world - I think my whole flat reflects this about me. I like a bit of vintage but a bit of modern as well.
Anyway, as I woke up that morning, I was thinking about how grateful I am to be alive. Have you ever realised that when you are asleep, how unaware you are about yourself and your surrounding? Sometimes you dream, and sometimes you don't, but if you think about it, during your sleep, you are dead but breathing.
And I thought to myself, what was I looking forward to on that day. And today, what am I looking forward to. I have started to find at least one thing to look forward to each day - it can be anything from cooking a meal, to organising a cupboard, or preparing some resources for a student - anything - ONE thing.
So, what are you looking forward to today?
Live in the Moment,
You never know when it might be your last chance to be alive. Enjoy life, embrace it fully.
Above all, remember God and be thankful.
I am finally able to upload all my pictures which I took from my iphone. I have always liked to look at the sky and each and everytime, I am amazed at the millions and zillions of shapes you can find up there, every single day, every hour, really!
I have a fascination for sky and I have a friend at work who does amazing watercolour on skies and landscapes.I will make sure to add a link to her blog on here once I have managed to get her permission.
If you have a camera, take it with you wherever you go...and don't be shy...click it away when you see something which appeals to you. But be very aware if there are people around as you surely do not want somebody coming up to you and telling you off for taking their pics while they are not happy with it. Make sure to always ask if you have to shoot somewhere where you want to include the crowd, it is important. If it is a far awar snapshot then I suppose it is fine(don't quote me on this!) but I would ask before taking any close up pictures.
Anyway , give yourself a target.By the end of September, you should have so many pictures of....decide on a theme! It is so much fun. I do not have a camera at the moment and I will buy one as soon as I can afford it, but, be happy, be free, create something today!
Hellow Lovely People,
I am super excited to start a new blog titled My Art and Photography. I have always had a passion for photography but have only recently experienced with different cameras and realised how much I am so intrigued by photography.
I have taken lots of photos over the past few years but never got round to showcase them and was not too sure either what to do with them.Part of me was hoping I would finally give in scrapbooking.
I also wanted to keep up with my Art, my drawing, painting and what not and I wanted to show them the same love and attention I give to my Crafts, cardmaking and the rest.I was delighted to realise I can actually do this by having a seperate blog on Typepad! That is why I love typepad so much!....
So hang in there and watch out this space.
