How are you all keeping? Today is a beautiful day here in London, the sun is shining with all it's might and what a perfect day to go out and go for a long walk or something, or have tea in a cafe somewhere....but, I can only wish I have enough time to do that. Today is catching up day for me. This is the only day where I have to clean, cook and prepare my resources (for my tutoring sessions) for the following week. And the day just goes by so quickly and I know, before I know it, it will be time for bed.
I was uploading a video for you guys and this time I have used my cricut, yaaayyy! I just cannot get over how beautiful, how wonderful and how useful and amazing a cricut is. Did you see me unboxing my cricut? Click HERE to watch it and share my joy too, lol! Anyway, I have used it many times since but just haven't made a video to show what I have been making with them. My friend Soraya wanted a baby card for her friend who lives overseas. So I whipped up this card for Soraya and the background music is such because the recipient lives in Dubai, lol!
So enough of my chatting and on to the video. HERE to watch the video in HD on youtube, plus, while you are there you can click 'like' if you like it and leave me a comment so I know you came by!
Or you can watch it here too:
So I hope you enjoy this video and on that day , I was dropping everything and anything. It was mad. Even my camera fell at one point, then my glue disappeared, I went over the desk to look for it, got poked with my scissors , then found the glue, but lost bits of the main image! I edited them out but , I was like 'what is going on'!But when I did finish the filming, I was glad I did! lol.
Now, before I go, did you see the Bidding video on the Rolodex? Shipping is free to anywhere in the world - so if you would like to bid on a rolodex, and there's a lot you could do with it. You can use it to display your ATCs(Artist Trading Cards), you can use it to keep your sketches, you can use it to test colours and keep a record...I mean , the sky is the limit!
See the video below:
And if you would like to bid, go ahead and leave a comment with your bid in $. Thanks and if you have any question , email me or leave me a comment.
Thanks ever so much for popping by.
PS: I just wanted to add that, there are some people out there, who do not have any idea who I am, why I make videos, and why I do what I do. They come and leave me some random comments, which are things I just cannot do anything about. For example, one hates my accent, the other hates my voice, another one can't stand watching me make something. Dude! if you can't handle me, don't watch me simple as that. Are you at 'gun-point' , fighting between your life and your death, to watch my video? No! So, just do not watch and do not bother to comment because I cannot change my accent, I cannot change my voice and I WILL NOT change my style in my ART. Really, I tend to brush off these comments but enough is enough! I normally just delete and block those people but now I will start reporting as 'abuse'. Because these people keep coming again and again! I seem to have a lot of 'dislike' in every of my videos now....
Like I have said before, I am happy to take on consctructive criticism. I have been an ART student for years and I am used to having negative, but consctructive criticism about my work, because it is healthy for any artist, to get this type of feedback so they can improve. But as long as it is related to the work itself, and the theme, then yeah, I can surely amend to improve. For example if I am doing a mixed media work and you tell me that my work is too messy, then I wonder if you do have a brain at all to allow you to understand the word 'Art appreciation' which should be done in the context the work has been done. You need to understand the 'Theme' of the work, so you can criticise the work using the guidelines for the actual 'Theme'. Let me give you an example, if you have said something like ' I think you have used too many colours together at one time', this makes more sense to me - Because, in mixed media this is what you do, use colours and layering. But yes, it can happen that too many colours have been used and it kind of spoil the final look. So, you MUST understand first the artist's point of view and theme, then you can criticise accordingly. Your personal opinion can only count to the artist if it fits in the 'Birth, progress and final' piece of work. Do you understand?
Anyway, wow, rant over! I had to get this out there as I was frustrated about the comments lately. I feel sorry for those people who have nothing to do but sit behind a screen, and decide to pick on people, about things they themselves have no clue about, come on, do something useful! Get creative, create something today!
Anyway, I will speak to you all very soon,
Lots of love and hugs,
