I have been busy making these video tutorials for you guys. It took me a long time, to make it, to upload it to my PC, then to upload it to youtube. And I do hope that some of you find them useful and if you do, please leave me a comment and let me know.
Anyway, down below, you will find three video tutorials. I will be talking about the Martha Stewart scoring board, the Ultimate Crafter's companion, and Making an envelope with the Martha Stewart Scoring board, let's call it the MS board.
Now since the MS board is from the US and measurements are in Inches, I went ahead and tried the UK card sizes to see if there is any issue as I have read on a few blogs(can't remember where) that people were saying that, the A4 size does not fit in such a way you can score it in A5 straight forwardly. I read you have to trim it down so you can then score it in half to get an A5 size card. Well, I figured that you actually do not have to trim it down, if you watch the video you will understand why.
The ultimate crafters companion is made here in the UK and measurements are pretty straight forward. I love them both...I do prefer the thin crisp score line I get from the MS board, but I also love my UCC board...If I have to choose? WEll, I choose both.
Anyway here we are and please go over to watch them in HD and leave me a comment to let me know if it has been helpful to you guys. Thanks:)
UK sizes v/s US sizes
A4 size card
21 X 29.7 cms - 8 1/4" X 11 11/16"
Place the card on your board, left margin will be at the pointing arrow, just after the '0' and right margin will be exactly at 11 3/4". Score at 5 7/8 " to get score it exactly in half, that's it! you're done!:)
A5 size card
14.8 X 21 cms - 5 13/16" X 8 1/4"
Score at 4/18" to get an A6 size card
A6 size card
10.5 X 14.9cm - 4 1/4" X 5 7/8"
Score at 2 7/8" to get an A7 size card(it's called an A7 isn't?)
Anyway, enjoy and have fun.
