Upcycling-Every pen has a story.

Hey Crafters!

I hope you are all well. I would like to first and foremost bring your attention to something really important. I have noticed over the past few weeks that my view count on my youtube channel has decreased drastically. I mean, by perhaps about 80%!!! I do not think that you guys are receiving my new videos anymore. Onto today's video. I have been collecting pens over years. Not any pen, only those who have been given to me as a gift or those which have a meaning to me. So I wanted to showcase them and upcycle them into an art work. This idea came to me many years ago and now that I have enough pen to go on my canvas, I have put the project together. Honestly, it is not everybody's cup of tea but I love it. I have also always loved quirky and unique and often, weird, art projects.

Scrawlrbox December 2016 and a failed challenge!

Dear Crafters,

I have a different video for you today. I am reviewing or rather showing you what are in my Scrawlrbox for the month of December 2016. This is my second box. I did the challenge but it was a failed one. I uploaded the video anyway, just because. Please do not be too harsh on me as I already know this is probably the worst drawing and colouring in I have ever done, ever!

Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Colour Paint Set - 45 Half Pans

I have a colour swatch video for you today. I personally, I really like using Winsor And Newton water colours. I already have the 12 half pans and I have decided to go for the 45 half pans as I managed to scoop it or a great price.

Inktense and WHSmith watercolour pencils review/comparison

Hey crafters!

Here is a video to show you the Inktense watercolour pencils and WHSmith watercolour pencils,side by side. This is by no means to say which one is better as they are both made from different materials. 

I thought it would give people an idea of what they look like on paper. It is also a great opportunity for GCSE pupils to see how the WHSmith one works.

Gel Card - How to - Using the fuse tool

Dear Crafters

I know a few of you have requested for me to show you how I make my Gel Water effect card using the card design I did. The Gel idea itself is not mine as I got it off the internet. I am not sure who invented it as there were quite a few sources for it on pinterest, youtube and the internet. But I can assure you I have thought about the card fold myself. I wanted the card to have a more 'neat' and professional look. The first card I made with the mermaid , I showed how I coloured in the mermaid only. Then after you guys have shown interest on how I make the card itself, I went ahead and made a tutorial for you. I hope the instructions are clear enough for you to replicate whether you use cms or inches. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!

For the card measurement:-

I used an A4 size card to start with

A4 A4 29.7 cm x 20.9 cm

11 5/8th x 5 9/16th

When folded in half, we get an A5 size card

A5 14.8cm x 10.5 cm

THEN FOLD THE A5 AGAIN TO GET AN A6 SIZE WHICH I HAVE USED IN THE VIDEO

This is the measurement of the final card

A6 7.4cm x 10.5 cm

A6 4 1/8"th x 5 13/16"th
